but be thou an example of the believers,
in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

Summer Missions Team 2024
Thank you for taking the time to meet this year's summer mission team! We are excited that this year we have two teens who have been with our chapter for the past 2-4 years and then six teens who are joining us for the 1st year! We pray that the Lord will use our team this summer to reach over 1,000 children in North Central Indiana. Our summer missions outreach does cost approximately $25,000 to operate. It costs approximately $25 to reach one child. Would you prayerfully consider giving to our summer missionaries or giving to our whole team. We will be using your support to purchase gas, food, literature, fair entrance fees, liability insurance, curriculum, prize incentives, flyer printing and distributing, and other missionary expenses. Thank you for prayerfully considering supporting the summer missions outreach we be conducting this summer! Please call our Local Director or Summer Coordinator if you have any questions or if you would like to become involved this summer as a volunteer as well! Eric Burke
Meet Eric Burke. He is 18 years old this will be his fourth year of serving with Child Evangelism Fellowship in our Summer Mission's Outreach. He is very excited about the opportunity to teach little ones once again about Jesus and his love. Over the last three years, he has been able to witness many children making a decision to accept Jesus as their Savior. He believed in Jesus himself on June 20, 2020, and since then he has wanted others to know how Jesus can be their Savior, too. Payton Burke
Meet Payton. She is excited to work with Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) for the 2nd year. She has waited for this opportunity to work as a summer missionary for a few years now. She accepted Jesus as her Savior on July 14, 2019. Her brother, Andrew Burk led her to the Lord when he was a summer missionary with CEF himself. He helped lead her to the Lord one Sunday at church. Since that day she has wanted others to come to know Jesus, too. She really exceled last year as a missionary assistant and has made the decision to continue as a summer missionary so she can tell even more children about how they can be saved as well! Gigi Jensen
Meet Gigi Jensen. Gigi is 12 years old and has been going to 5-Day Club since she was 5 years old. She has always wondered what it would be like to help other children to come to know Jesus. Now that she is finally old enough to participate in CYIA, she realizes that she can achieve her goal. She was compelled to become a missionary this year because she realizes that the rapture of the church is getting closer and she wanted to serve the Lord before He calls us home. Gigi was saved at the age of 5 through the summer ministry of Elle Lee. Elle was a summer missionary with our chapter of CEF for 3 years. She served in our chapter through the summers of 2016 - 2018! Connor Keehn
Meet Connor Keehn. Connor is 12 years old and we are excited to have him join Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) this year for the 1st time this summer. Connor heard about Christian Youth in Action (CYIA) through his sister Olivia and his parents. He helps in Sunday School at his church and with Kid's Closet. Connor shared with us that his purpose for participating in the summer mission's outreach this summer is to become an evangelist! Pray for Connor as he follows the Lord's leading to serve with our chapter this summer as a local summer missionary! |
Kailiana Marie King
Meet Kailiana M. King. Kaili has served as a summer missionary for the past 9 years. She began as an assistant summer missionary, moved up to summer missionary, then became an advanced missionary, and has now chosen to work full-time with our chapter to became our chapter's summer coordinator. Last year she was chosen for the the leadership role as the Dean of Women at CYIA and will be the Dean of Women again for CYIA this year. Kaili, and the Assistant Dean of Women, oversee all things teen girl related at CYIA. For example, they will be the on-site nurse for the girls, praying for them, conducting room checks, and mentoring them. Kaili's prayer is to help these girls to grow in their walk with the Lord and to help them to grow into future leaders of the church. J. Burke
Meet J. Burke. He has decided to participate in CYIA this year for the 1st time. He is 12 years old and was saved when he was serving at one of our port-a-pits last year. One of our missionaries asked him if he knew what the Wordless Book bracelet colors meant that he was wearing. They proceeded to share the Wordless Book with Jayden and Jayden made a decision to trust Christ. He has decided to become a summer missionary and follow in the footsteps of his older brother Andrew, Eric, and sister Payton Burke. Pray for him as he has chosen to tell children about Jesus this summer. Ragan Roach
Meet Ragan Roach. We are excited to have Ragan join Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) for the 1st time this summer. Ragan is 14 years old and we met Ragan during one of our Christian Youth in Action presentations (CYIA) this year in Knox, IN. Ragan shared with us her goal of becoming more involved in the children's programs of her church and how she would love to learn how to teach Bible Lessons. She wants to also learn how to show children how they can receive Jesus as their Saviour, too. After hearing about CYIA she knew that it was something she wanted to participate in. She knew it would help her to learn how to teach Bible Lessons and help children to grow in their walk with the Lord. Olivia Keehn
Meet Olivia Keehn. We are excited to have her join Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) this year for the 1st time this summer. Olivia is 14 years old and heard about Christian Youth in Action (CYIA) through her friend Ragan. She works in the children's ministry at her church and realized that this training would benefit her and her church. She shared with us that her purpose for participating in the summer mission's outreach this summer is so that she can teach children about Jesus! Pray for Olivia as she follows the Lord's leading to serve with our chapter this summer as a local summer missionary! Sarah Rueck
Meet Sarah Rueck. We are excited to have her join Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) this summer for the 1st time. Sarah is 17 years old and heard about Christian Youth in Action (CYIA) through a presentation our local director gave at her co-op group. Her parents has also been involved with CEF oversees in the past and were summer missionaries as teens themselves! Sarah has been on mission's trips before that focused primarily on meeting the physical needs of the others around them. Sarah is looking forward to a summer that focuses on meeting the spiritual needs as well as their other needs. Sarah helps in the nursery at church once a month, she does childcare for a Bible Study, she babysits, she worked with children for one of her mission trips, and she helps with VBSs. Sarah believes the CYIA training and summer mission's outreach will give her the training she needs to share her faith with children and then real life opportunities to share the Gospel with the children in our community. |
